All Visiting Scientist Expectations:

Appointment: Visiting Scientist (including IGMs) The expectation is that you will work Monday-Friday from [8am-5pm] and later, including weekends, as needed to fulfill your responsibilities in the lab. Sick leave and vacation time must be approved by and coordinated with your PI. This position is not eligible for compensation or benefits and you will be responsible for all expenses including the mandatory health insurance requirement.

Research: you will be engaged in research activities in the PI’s research lab. Those responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: [TBD if accepted]. You will be expected to meet with your PI weekly in individual and group meetings to present data and findings. This position is a research only position and you will not have any clinical responsibilities or patient contact.


International Medical Graduates Expectations:

For International Medical Graduates (IMGs), who are interested in my research programs.
Requirement includes:

1. self-funded
2. commitment for one year or longer
3. interest in learning basic science (not clinical research)
4. completion of USMLE Step 1 and 2 prior to the time to join the lab
5. interest in broader matching specialties beyond neurosurgery
6. reference letters from 2 or more professors
7. matured personality, motivation, collaborative personality
